Meat continues to be our biggest need but we are also low on cereal, rice, and chili. Thank you for your support.
01/07/2025 January Pantry Needs

Food pantries everywhere are very low on meat, us included, and meat is out highest priority this month. Unfortunately, we cannot accept game meat as it is highly restricted by the Idaho Food Bank (must be processed by a state or federally inspected processing plant). Comments with meatless meal ideas are encouraged on our Facebook page!

As the new year approaches, below are the volunteer openings at the Pantry. For more info, please email MFP_Idaho@yahoo.com.
***Distribution: 2nd Sat of the month (9:30-noon) - 2 openings
***Driver: Tues mornings (8am) - Grocery store pick-up in Nampa
***Surplus Distribution: Wed (9am-11am) standby volunteer to cover vacations

Saturday distribution is a once-a-month commitment. Tuesday morning driver is a weekly commitment and must have a truck or large SUV.

12/18/2024 Heights Elementary School Donation

We are so grateful for a ton of food from Heights Elementary (well, almost a ton, 1,262 pounds to be exact). First grade won, but the Pantry was the real winner. Thank you to the Student Sunshine Committee and the Student Leadership at Heights for organizing and putting it all together and of course all of the students for their donations!

I can't believe On Collin's Pond's very own Santa and Mrs. Claus saddled up the sled and reindeer, and took time out of their very busy schedule to drop off some much needed donations today, but they did, and we are grateful!

Be Prepared! Sat, Nov 9 is Scouting for Food! Cubs from Middleton Pack 255 will be "Filling the Canoe" at Ridley's from 9-12. Scouts from troop 255 will drop off door hangers Nov. 2. If you do not get a door hanger but want to donate, you can drop off from 9-12 at Ridley's, the Pantry (307 E. 1st Street), or the Methodist Church at 104 E. Main St. Thank you.

Is Miracle Monday a thing? It is now, thanks to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints! We were worried, needs are high and stock was low. They delivered much needed staples and holiday foods to us today. Words are simply not adequate. We thank you very much!

Middleton Food Pantry is in need of a regular Thursday morning pick up driver at a store in Nampa at 8am, delivery to the pantry. Must have a truck or large SUV and be able to lift 25#. There are so many wonderful things to share this month! First, for the month of June, we served 234 households, including 267 children, 330 adults, and 232 seniors. We also added 17 new households in June! As our community continues to grow, we extend our ongoing gratitude to our generous local grocers, markets, and community members. Thank you for your ongoing donations!

We had so much fun at our annual Duck Races this Fourth of July, and could not have made it all come together without the generous support of our Middleton Parks and Rec, Middleton Chamber of Commerce, the City of Middleton, Ridley’s, our many volunteers, and our amazing Middleton Fire Station! All of their support of our fundraising efforts helped make this year our most successful fundraising event yet! Additionally, we want to say thanks to YOU! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us by purchasing ducks or attending the car show and joining in all the fun. Your generosity is truly appreciated.

We would be remiss if we didn’t give a HUGE shout out and thank you to our amazing raffle donors this year. We had some truly fantastic prizes this year and the following donors made that possible: D&B Hardware, Firearm Protection Fortitude Academy, 44 Livestock & Pet Supply, Elements Massage, Intermountain Pet Hospital, Amber Aesthetics, Simply Bliss Salon, Northwest Pets, Garbanzos, The Chapp, Rustic Table, Rustic Oven, El Mariachi, Stephanie Teachman, KB Etch & Craft and the Middleton Gazette.
If you or someone you know in Middleton needs help with food, we are open for distribution Saturdays 10 - Noon and for limited distribution Wednesdays 10 – Noon. Please bring your Middleton photo ID and a matching power or utility bill the first time to sign up. Donations are accepted Tuesday – Saturday 9-11 am. If you would like more information or would like to volunteer, please email MFP_Idaho@yahoo.com.

We are so excited for the race! Ducks will be available for purchase at the Firemen's Breakfast 6-10am on July 4. Then we waddle over to Roadside Park for the race at 12:30, after the parade. You do NOT need to be present to win. Ducks are $3 each, cash or card and all prizes will be available for viewing at the breakfast. It's a great way to support the Middleton Food Pantry. Happy 4th!
