The Middleton Food Pantry is 100% managed and operated by a volunteer workforce. There are many roles, shifts, and opportunities available onsite and off. If you are interested in applying as a volunteer, please contact us!
Volunteer Shifts
TUESDAY
Tuesdays are receiving days. Drivers collect and deliver donated food to the pantry. It is weighed, sorted, stocked, and prepared for distribution to our clients on Wednesdays.
WEDNESDAY
Wednesdays are client surplus distribution days. We are also open for receiving.
THURSDAY
Thursdays are receiving days. Drivers collect and deliver donated food to the pantry. It is weighed, sorted, stocked, and prepared for distribution on Saturdays.
FRIDAY
Fridays are our main receiving days. Drivers collect and deliver donated food to the pantry. It is weighed sorted, stocked, and prepared for distribution to our clients on Saturdays.
SATURDAY
Saturdays are our client main distribution days. We are also open for receiving.
Volunteer Roles
Receiving Clerk
The Receiving Clerk's role is to help unload truck deliveries, record donation weights, and pre-stage donated food for further sorting. Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, and be dependable.
